Statement by Advanced Biofuels Association President Michael McAdams On The Failure of the Toomey Amendment to The Department of Defense, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act of 2013

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

(Washington, DC)Today, Michael McAdams, head of the Advanced Biofuels Association made the following statement on the failure of Senator Pat Toomey’s amendment to the Department of Defense, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Act of 2013 that would have stripped funding from the DPA program and reallocate it to operation and maintenance:

“The Senate has once again endorsed the importance of advanced biofuels in securing our energy future and creating jobs and economic growth. In fact, these drop-in fuels are not blocked by the blendwall and are coming to market with companies like KiOR now selling their first renewable drop-in diesel from cellulosic feedstock.”
